Keeping Guard

Buttons has been watching Hans with her tail raised since the moment Hans came home. The first day (Saturday), she kept trying to box him, too.

She guards him closely, and mirrors his movements from outside of the play pen. Even when she’s having her meal, she’s on full alert.. as soon as she hears any movement from Hans, she shoots straight for the play pen to see what Hans is up to. When she rests, she rests next to the play pen.

Poor Buttons, she’s been on guard for 2 days already. I hope she managed to get some sleep.

Buttons is clearly upset by the newcomer, but Yohji seems alright so far. He’s off doing his own thing in this pic:

Buttons seemed slightly better, as of late last night. She had stopped her attempts at boxing Hans, and her tail muscles are finally getting some rest, too! She’s still keeping guard over Hans, but with less anger and aggression.

I hope she comes to accept Hans’ presence soon. I hate to see her so visibly upset. On a good note, there’s only been 2 small pee puddles outside of Hans’ playpen so far, and zero doots! Fingers crossed it doesn’t get worse!
