The Furrybutts are back after the looooong blog break!!
How time flies. We’ve taken nearly a year off from blogging and what a busy year it has been.
The bunnies & I have moved to a new place. Buttons & Yohji have a room all to themselves now:

Bunny Room. Proceed with caution!
Although there are still moments where they bicker, the bunny love is still strong between these two

Bailey lives in the living room. Attempts at bonding all three have failed miserably. Buttons is intent on pulling out every single strand of fur from Bailey. While Yohji was neutral at first, he started to attack Bailey after observing how Buttons behaved towards Bailey. What a couple of thugs!
Bailey is a real angel of a bunny.

He had free roam of the entire place initially but he never wandered more than a few feet from his area. If I tried to put him in another area of the apartment, he’d frantically find his way back to his box. I noticed that he also hardly came out of his box, except to eat and to use his toilet.
Now, thanks to a newcomer, Bailey is back in his play pen setup and he seems more comfortable with that. He ventures out of his box more often and today, for the first time, I found him binkying away in his litter box!

And what is this newcomer business about, you may ask.
Well.. so much for stopping at 3 bunnies. There is now a puppy in the house!!
Say hi to Sherry, everyone! She’s also known as Sherry Berry, Monster and Peeg (as in ‘pig’ because she used to vacuum up her kibbles at lightning speed but thankfully she’s slowed down a lot now).

Needless to say, the bunnies aren’t pleased at all with having a dog around! And since Sherry’s still a playful pup, she’s not allowed near the rabbits just in case she hurts them accidentally.
There’s loads more to tell, but I’ll save that for future posts
Stay tuned for more!

YAY! Welcome back! Hello new puppy!
Welcome back! New pup is SO cute!
Yaaayy u’re back!!
We’re so glad you’re back! We missed you!
isn’t Sherry adorable!! perhaps Bailey will be her best friend? my puppy Max grew up side by side with Burns when she was a tiny kitten when I lived in Australia. They were firm friends.
and great to see Buttons and Yohji
Glad Bailey is coming out of his house
I’d love it if they could be friends. When Sherry first came, she was slightly smaller than Bailey. I allowed them to meet then. Bailey wasn’t too keen on befriending the strange creature.. But neither was he afraid of her. However, now that Sherry’s much bigger, I’m afraid she might injure Bailey. She gets into these terribly hyper modes very often and loves to play rough! Maybe when she’s older and mellowed, I’ll try bonding them
Did you have any problems with Max being too rough with Burns?
Yippiee! You are back! We are so happy to have you back!
I’m so happy to read about the Furrybutts again! Great pictures, too

glad you are back…..misses your bunnies and NOT YOU for sure.. hahaha
i want more photos!!! cant really see buttons and yohji only backside one..
your sherry is sure a happy pup!
Hah! There goes your plan to bunnynap Yohji!
Max was never rough with Burns. They were both babies at the same time and spent many hours together chewing the same toy from different ends.
Max often ate Burns’s carrots and grass. He used to lick her all over into a wet spiky ball!
He was very careful with her and I think he knew his own strength. He was a Kelpie/Blue Heeler cross – both Aussie working dog breeds, but with Burns he was just such a softie.
Burns was the king of the house!
I think if you give them supervised time together, and if you are watching a movie, then let them watch with you, they will most probably end up snuggling together, or competing with you for snuggles.
YAY!! You’re back! I’ve missed reading about the buns and seeing their adorable pictures
Hello! My rabbit Zoey is grinding her teeth very often against anything that is metal – eg: the gate grill, her cage. I provide her with many kinds of wood blocks but she still refuse to even touch them or at least try to chew on them. Instead she goes for stainless steel!! It’s not a serious matter but i’m just curious and wonder if there’s an explaination to it. Zoey is almost 3 years old.
Hi Erinn, I haven’t encountered that before.. but I’ve read that grinding their teeth on metal may sometimes cause their teeth to become mis-aligned (I think it’s probable only if they yank too hard on the metal)
Hey! Good to read that you’re blogging again & you have a dog!
What type of dog is Sherry? A Schnauzer? Very cuteee!
So how are the bunnies adjusting to the dog? Do they get a long or would you have to supervise Sherry with the bunnies?
