The Lunar New Year is just around the corner (26 & 27 January)! Over here, it’s more popularly referred to as the Chinese New Year or CNY, for short. It’s a rather big celebration.. I have family dinners lined up every day for the whole of next week.
Tonight, we’re taking a road trip back to Penang, which is where most of our family live. All 3 bunnies are coming along, since we’re going to be in Penang for almost 2 weeks. It’s a 3-4 hour car ride.. they’re not going to be thrilled, lol!
I tried to get a nice photo of the bunnies in conjunction with CNY, but bunnies being bunnies.. they take directions from no one! They had their own agenda..
.. which involved zero poses for me..
.. and many attempts at devouring the props!
Hans wanted nothing to do with photo shoots and stayed put in his tent:
Well, nice bunny photo or not, we’d still like to wish everyone a happy CNY!
I’m not sure if I’ll have time to blog while in Penang. I’ll try.. but otherwise, I’ll definitely be back and posting by the first week of February ๐ See ya then!
I dont know who is more excited over this trip, the bunnies or me thinking about them being in Penang, being in new environment and getting lots of cuddles…haha!! I am sure your boot will be full of their stuff and those bunnies must be quite nervous sitting in the car. Well!! GONG XI FA CAI to all furry and non furrybutts at home, drive safely, enjoy and eat to the MAX…think of me when you eat those char kue teau, lobak, asam laksa…aiyah…there goes my diet for the next 2 hours LOL.
Firstly Happy Chinese New Year to you and your hubby + rabbitos….
wow bringing bunnies all the way to penang
do you keep watch of them? its kind rather long journey especially with these few days – weather is rather killing …
where will you be putting up?
i mean your rabbits …are they used to it?
imagine if you carry them
one each side ….. and the other one?
Road trip bunnies!!!! You know about putting water on their ears if they get too hot? helps cool them down pretty quickly. Yohji and Buttons always look good, posing or not. I just want to give Hans a snuggle, what a cute fellow..Happy Ox!
aww, that long? I don’t know how long I can go without the furrybutts there to make me smile! Well, if you can’t blog, I’ll go ahead and assume that you are having an amazing amount of fun and is so tired you can’t even catch a breath. ๐
Well, when it is the year of the Bunny THEN they will pose … bon voyage.
Vivien, the bunnies will be staying at my parents’ place. Buttons & Yohji was in Penang last CNY, but this will be Hans’ first trip. I don’t think they have much problems adjusting to a new place.. only thing is that they’ll lose their litter habits because it’s a new place and they’ll be busy making sure everything smells like them, lol! So there’s going to be lots of cleaning up for me to do..
Thanks for the ear tip, D! We’ll also be turning on the air conditioning in the car to keep things cool for the buns. Happy Ox to you too ๐
I hope you’ll have a chance to post more bunny pics while they’re there. Good luck to the road trip bunnies on their big adventure!
Happy Chinese New Year! What an adventure for the bunns!
And CNY will not be complete without wishing everyone “GONG HEI FATT CHOY” which means, “congratulations for striking gold” (translated directly..LOL)!
It is a greeting to wish someone to be blessed with abundance.
I’m going back to Johor from Penang for CNY holiday too! But i can never bring along my rabbits to my hometown for long holiday. 12hours driving 140km/h, are u kidding! My butt will sore!
Gong Xi Fa Choy to Furrybutts, SB and Mr P! Have a snuggly journey, furrybutts!!
Happy CNY to you all! I loved the photos of Buttons and Yohji tasting the props! ๐
be safe dear ones! happy new year!

Yes but the “impromptu” bunny poses are the best, no?
have a safe and happy trip! Happy New Year!
Happy Chinese New Years to U & your family.

3 of them did good along the trip?
Are the bunnies ready ? all packed? do they sense they are going for a road trip hehehee…

Hans in the middle
Buttons and Yohji at the side hahaahahaa
how i wish bunnies can be like that…
admire your rabbit can go on a road trip
mine cannot
the last time i took BitBit out less than 5KM
he already went hysterical……..
I think they’ll be adorable dashboard ornaments. I like Hans’ photo, he looks like he’s chillin’ in the Taj Mahal. Have a wonderful two weeks with your families. See you in February.
Wao! Can’t wait!! I really like your New Year deco. Beautiful pictures!!
Happy Chinese New Year! Travelling with bunnies is an adventure per se – but at least you have the AC on. I second Diana’s suggestion with water on bunny ears – it works very well!
Enjoy your time away from home and take plenty of pics -we want to see them all when you’re back!
x
Have a great trip! We’re never taken our buns anywhere. Henry is the only one who gets to go on road trips with us:) Happy Chinese New Year!!
Have a great trip! Everything is a giant chew toy to buns. Well, except for Hans! Happy New Year!
oh and by the way, when you get back from your adventures, there’s an award for the bunns – find out more at my blog…

Gong xi fa chai!
Hopefully you’ll come back with lots of red envelopes ๐
